HIGHLIGHT : COMPETITION FOR INDIAN SHORT FICTION & DOCUMENTARIES!
1) Indian films
Recently made (made within 24 months) short fiction and documentaries are invited for a competition
No restriction on style and theme
Duration : maximum 20 min for short fiction
No restriction on duration for documentaries
Films that advocate violence and hate will not be admitted
No screening fee will be paid
Filmmakers (one member) of the selected films will be provided a decent stay in Chennai for 3 days during the festival. No travel allowance will be provided
Entry fee : Rs.750 per film
Cash prize for Best Indian short fiction : Rs.50,000/- (will be shared between the producer and the director)
Cash prize for Best Indian Documentary : Rs.50,000/- (will be shared between the producer and the director)
2) International films
Recently made (made with 24 months) short fiction and documentaries are invited for a non competitive section
No restriction on style and theme
Duration : maximum 20 min for short fiction
No restriction on duration for documentaries
Films that advocate violence and hate will not be admitted
No screening fee will be paid
Filmmakers (one member) of the selected films will be provided a decent stay in Chennai for 3 days during the festival. No travel allowance will be provided
Entry fee : Rs.750 per film
No cash award for International films
